Other Wildcats Alumni Notes:
The 1942 Class has a great Newsletter. Check out all their luncheons and outings, they are busy all the time.

The Classes of January 1951, June 1951, January 1952, June 1952, and January 1953, had a grand
50th Celebration in October 2002. They refurbished the "old" wall fans in the lunch room in remembrance of Ruth "Piddle" Wilson Melton and James P. Melton, both of the class of 1952.

The 1967 Class treated the Libraries of Woodrow, Long, Lipscomb, M
t. Auburn, Lee, Stonewall, and Lakewood with separate overflowing baskets of books. What a great treat!

1984 Alumni, Mr. Tim Brown, the 1987 Heisman Trophy winner, will be hosting the Tim Brown Golf Tournament on Monday May  2008 Sam Harrington at 214-696-3606).

The 2000 Class with the help of donations from a memorial gift from Juanita Antoine McCormick (1935 Class) upgraded the area known as the Courtyard.

The 2001 Class restored and re-hung the WPA paintings in the Library. William Lester (1929 Class) painted three panels entitled "The Development of American Industry".

The 2002 Class was impacted by the 9-11-01 attack. They had the 1929 school flag restored, framed, and placed next to the principal's office. The 1929 flag was donated by Sergeant Major Don Bacon (ROTC 1968-1990) to the Woodrow Library.

Woodrow Hall of Fame Member Geraldine "Tincy" Miller was appointed as chair of the State Board of Education on February 17, 2003 and confirmed by the Senate on February 24, 2003.

Woodrow Senior Brent Oglesby was selected as the High School Scholarship Award Winner from the Davey O'Brien Foundation. Davey's sons, David and Bill attended.  Brent has recently graduated 2007 from The United States Naval  Academy.  The 1990 winner's Erin Henderson-Gasch, Coach Sally Moore, and Coach Steve Wolf were also in attendance. The 2007 UIL golf and baseball  at Woodrow  Senior Rhodes Coffey  of Townview was selected. Coach Gindratt attended.
